the angry video game nerd.

There's so many "Mikes" in the world. It's just a fact of life and the confusion it creates is a curse that burdens all Mikes together. When I was in middle school, there was another kid named Mike who shared several classes with me. He was more popular than I was and I hated him.

Today, covered in raw, festering ooze, I crawled out of the sewer which is my home long enough to huddle in front of a warm, glowing computer screen, and watch the following video. A fellow Mike (more specifically -- "Motherfucker Mike", how scary) teaches kids about a glitch in a classic and iconic game.

Cinemassacre is the brainchild of my friend James Rolfe, better known in geekdom as the Angry Video Game Nerd. The force is very strong with this one. We met at the first annual ScrewAttack Gaming Convention, back in '09. Held in Dallas, the three-day event was hands-down the best convention I've ever attended. There were some great guest speakers and the whole thing just had a really great vibe to it. I became drunk and raised hell at one of the many after-parties. It was magical to say the least.

If you, like me, are a fan of classic gaming, be sure to check out this upcoming show at Gallery 1988 in Santa Monica, CA. It looks like it's going to be sick.
